    老鳖

    鳖,释义:甲鱼,爬行动物,形似龟,生活在淡水中,背上有软皮,四周有软边。俗称团鱼、王八。

    从小在水乡长大,打记事就常见爷爷叔叔们经常从外面带回老鳖,或捕或钓。

    捕老鳖常见有两种:

    一是在两条河之间的坝上挖一个坑,埋上一个半人高陶制的水缸,其四壁光滑,很难攀援。老鳖性喜多螺类、鱼、虾之处,兼之水陆两栖,常从一条河爬行的另一条,而且喜好晚上搬迁,所以常常跌进陷阱,成了渔家桌上佳肴或者变现为囊中积蓄。

    二是网兜。老鳖是水中隐士,生性淡泊,好享受,故常卧于向阳之处,懒洋洋徜徉于天地之间。在这最是放松的时刻,往往是渔者下手之时,冷不丁网兜从天而降,成为套中之物。

    其次就是钓:

    老鳖喜欢动物性诱饵,平常垂钓,偶尔也能一两只上钩:初看浮标不紧不慢,时紧时松,约摸五六个回合,陡然见浮标向旁侧急剧下沉,就是老鳖咬钩了,基本是十拿九稳。

    有专门钓老鳖能手,取生猪肝小块,置于吊钩之上,扣一公尺半棉线前端,后端绑在一根长三尺的芦杆中间,然后泛舟至水中央,置于水中,如有老鳖咬钩,会见芦杆在水中漂浮前进,取一长一丈长竹,前端绑一树杈倒钩,伸至芦杆下方,勾起棉线,拖致岸边,手到擒来。这种方法多用于夏天,有经验的渔者曾授之小可:老鳖能辨别猪肝新鲜与否,所以常把剩余猪肝,置于小桶之中,然后悬于老井中。

    幼时,家乡老鳖常见,不足为奇,所以常有捕鱼者出行前,乡人会戏言:捕个老鳖回来呀。这是捕鱼者最忌讳之事。可见那时老鳖地位比现在差之很多。

    正如鲁迅先生所言:大概是物以希为贵罢。北京的白菜运往浙江,便用红头绳系住菜根,倒挂在水果店头,尊为“胶菜”;福建野生着的芦荟,一到北京就请进温室,且美其名曰“ 龙舌兰”。

    然而当今再见老鳖,虽然身价不菲,但少了童年见时的那份喜悦,而这一切也是我的同类所为,又岂能怪谁?
